UK based eTextbook Aggregator, Reference Tree, announced today that it has entered into a collaboration with Gemeinsamer Bibliotheks Verbund (GBV) to distribute eTextbooks from publishers for which Reference Tree has signed Europe-wide or World-wide rights.
In an exciting new initiative, users of the GBV’s extensive catalogue now have access to more than 2,500 eTextbooks from the world’s leading publishers including Taylor & Francis, McGraw-Hill, Elsevier, Hodder Education, Business Expert Press and Packt Publishing. Additionally, as new titles and publishers distribute their books through Reference Tree, so too will these be indexed by the catalogue providing access to even more content.
The venture marks a significant step in Reference Tree’s continuing expansion into Higher Education, extending content reach to thousands of users from more than 450 university, college and government sponsored research libraries across GBV’s member states. In addition to cost-effective core content, GBV catalogue users will also benefit from Reference Tree’s learning and study tools such as text highlighting and annotations.
Speaking of the collaboration, Amil Tolia, CEO Reference Tree, said “We appreciate the opportunity to work with the GBV and are pleased to be able to provide a greater amount of content to its users. We look forward to developing a deeper relationship with them over the coming months and years.”
Users of the GBV catalogue will be able to access these titles immediately.
